Plot Summary
The story is set in Tromaville, New Jersey, the most polluted town in the state. The citizens are desperate for a hero to clean up their toxic waste problem.
Enter Melvin Ferd the Third, a nerdy aspiring earth scientist who wants to make a difference.
When the corrupt mayor and her goons foil his plans, Melvin is tossed into a vat of radioactive toxic waste, transforming him into the Toxic Avenger!
Now, with superhuman strength and a heart as big as Newark, he’s out to save New Jersey, end global warming, and win the heart of the prettiest, blindest librarian in town.
The show is in a similar style to Little Shop of Horrors and The Rocky Horror Show, and contains some adult themes so all cast need to be aged 18+. Playing ages are given in the character descriptions but this is flexible as long as they can play the ages convincingly.
